The wolf turns into a person sometimes, which I thought was way cool. Overall, it definitely needed more work. I wasn't sure what button to use to kill. And, I couldn't figure out how I had lost, as I couldn't seem to do anything. However, I LOVED the wolf! And, I did appreciate the concept. Thanks for submitting this game.

You're right, I didn't explain the controls. For any one playing the game after this:
you are attacked and attack by collision. I think it's a similar "battle" mechanic to the Y's series (I never played it, I could be wrong).
There's a little icon that scrolls along the top of the screen. It's the timer for the day/night cycle. During the day you are a human and you can freely walk around and buy food (just walk into it). Meat increases your attack stat, bread your health, apple your speed. Bread fully heals you as well; meat and apples heal you slightly.
The bar at the bottom of the screen is your health, the shield is the max health points you have, the claws is your attack, the winged boots is your speed.
At night you turn into a wolf. The towns people are afraid of you and will attack if you are in range. The guys will chase you. If the townspeople touch you, you lose health. You attack at the same time so they lose health too. At the beginning of the game they are stronger than you. You will probably die. You can get hit once by them at the beginning without dying but since it's all based on collision you have to immediately stop colliding to survive the encounter. The towns people aren't going to give the wolf any food. You'll have to survive until morning.
As you eat more food your stats increase and it is easier to survive and damage the townspeople.
The end goal of the game is to get past the town guard without dying. His stats are displayed so you can figure out how much food you need to eat to be stronger than him.
There's actually 2 ways to get past him but that's part of the fun to figure out.
I hope that helps everyone. Thanks for playing! Sorry for being so vague, it was time for bed :P

Typo: the shield is your current health, not your max health.

Hmm, never though i'd see games want to mimic the Ys/Hydlide style of combat. The main concept is cool and would benefit from some more context and of course polish and whatnot. But given the time you put in, still quite a good effort.
