i started the game i selected an egg and another window appears but it was just a blue screen
When you unzip the folder, make sure to keep /res and rampage.jar in the same folder (C:\ and C:\ instead of C:\ and C:\Folders)
I liked the different choices for the monsters. Would be neat if you could try something else too (chilling in the corner gets kind of, well uninteresting)
Worked fine for me. I liked that you had multiple monsters to play as and thought your use of the theme was good.
Cool entry! You did a great job of using the theme, although I think to focus on improvement you should work on adding more gameplay mechanics and balancing the difficulty a little more. It was very easy to just mash buttons and win, so things like moving around would have made it more fun. It was good that you made animations for all the different attacks, but the animations themselves weren't very detailed, so you could also try animating them a bit more.
It worked for me, but found it hard to understand what the different attacks did or if they had any effect. Looked nice though.
Sorry to hear you're first entry didn't work out and that you switched last minute, but awesome that you still stuck with it and submitted a new entry. That's a brave decision when it is so easy to just walk away.
As also stated by others, I would like to have seen more variety in the gameplay as far as enemies and strategy (it was too easy to just mash buttons), and perhaps less variety in the monsters given the time you had (then again those assets may have been from the first attempted game). Additionally, I found a humorous bug; when you die and the game over screen appears, the game is still running in the background. As a result, you can keep mashing S and D and continue to rack up kills.
doesn't work.
@Ninja Garage could you be more specific? A lot of times people have had problems because they didn't extract the .jar and the /res/ folder into the same directory
