Interesting side scroller, but brutally difficult! It was hard to make it very hard at all. Controls also seemed dodgy.
The obstacles moved too quickly for me to survive more than a few seconds. Is it a lack of frame-rate independence, or am I just not good enough to progress? Also the character couldn't move very far to the bottom of the screen. I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit, and I had about 900 fps. Maybe you should multiply the speed of the obstacles by Java's delta time?
