Just corrected a typo: LD29 not LD48. Had the Twitter tag where the name of the LD should have gone.

Also want to mention this was inspired loosely by David Gray's fantastic Hugo's House of Horrors series, which remember fondly from my childhood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo's_House_of_Horrors).

They had better graphics and a longer plot ;)

Screw graphics, we need more text-based games. Good work!

Kind of short. I would have appreciated a help list of available commands instead of doing a lot of guessing on what I could or couldn't do.

I tried to get off the couch but it didn't work. Very meta. But I like the idea of making something text based very very cool. However, a list of possible commands in the "help" command would be nice. Try to 'modernise' it at least a tiny bit.

Good idea. I don't think I got very far, but I did a lot of actions that had no discernible effect. Maybe I'm too impatient to be an indie developer.

I agree with other comments: a list of available commands would really help. I originally tried "look" instead of "look around", which did nothing. Still, it's a great idea and is pretty fun!
