Hi jay, your dropbox link is dead I cant play :(
Sorry about that, try now.
Picked the girl and got the boy, what cruel trickery is this?
Picking up ammo sometimes gets rid of your gun, not sure if there is some inventory management going on there. After a while zombies outnumber your bullets, so not sure what to do there.
Nice little game overall.
Haha yeah, I rushed the last minute and didn't realise the there was a bug with character selection until then. You can drop your gun sometimes by getting ammo because you have to press E to get ammo and drop/pickup a gun.
Very nice work. I really like your application icon. This game has a classic "wave" feel. I would have really like some sounds, but oh well. The art here is great. The zombies look very nice and the character looked great. Animations would have made a good game great. The flashlight was a bit weak, I would have liked a flashlight upgrade or something. Maybe a "battery" that flashes the whole screen for ten seconds or something? The game seems to be fond of getting stuck on walls. This has something to do with your collision detection. I can tell for sure that you are using rect collision instead of perfect pixel. Perfect pixel would have been very good for something like this, but again, I get it. Also, are you aware of the pythagorean theorem? a^2 + b^2 = c^2? Yes, that is quite evident here. I.E: say you move your character with an increment of five. (x += 5; y += 5;) that means that you will be moving about seven units (7.71067811895476) if you hold up+right, up+right, down+right, or down+left. That is how I would just tread through zombies and got ALL TEH AMMOS. (I finished with over 2000 ammo. Hahah.) Ammo also should have been less frequent. ANYWAY great work! Keep it up!
I am sort of heasitent to say so, but I think this just may be the best game I have played this LD.
Thanks, yeah collision wasn't great, and I think a flashlight upgrade would have been awesome to add because I kept expanding how far you could see and left it at this. Ammo was something I worked on for the last like 20 minutes so yeah it turned out being a little buggy.
Finally had a chance to play... !
The lighting effect is very interesting, it looks similar to lighting I was going to put in my game but I ran out of time and had to cut it. Zombies have good pacing but they dont seem aggressive enough once you have the gun and decent ammo, wouldnt mind seeing this develop further with maybe some outside area. That would be cool.
Hmm... The zombies are acting more like bees. I haven't seen a real effect of the described mouse move. Could be fun for other players, but is to hectic for me. The light effect is nice, but somehow also unneccessary.
