Music is not original :( (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_Ws_sa17U8)
Didn't really know if there was an end to this game until later on. I was confused about what the pedestals did (spawners? teleporters?) And I thought Santa could kill me. It's too bad that movement is tile based, and the controls are a bit weird (Should you really have to light the fire yourself again? Dropping presents should be enough). Gameplay is fairly solid.

Funny game, burning presents in what might be Santa's own fireplace is villainous, indeed.

Gameplay reminds me of arcade games of old. The nostalgia is enhanced by the "jumpy" movement that makes me think of Game&Watch and the like. I didn't rate Audio as another reviewer has pointed it is not original.

If you'd allow a suggestion, granting a score bonus if the player burns multiple presents before Santa extinguishes the fireplace would be good to value player skill.

Great idea, but I kinda wish the game movement wasn't grid based. I dig the mood set by the game, but that's mostly from the music which unfortunately doesn't 'count'. The idea of a bad version of Santa running around burning gifts is hilarious. Great use of theme and CHRISTMAS SPIRIT :D

Thank you guys for the great feat back! I know the music is not original and is a chiptune by bitshifter, I trough I had removed the song form the game, but I was sadly mistaken. I hereby excuse myself for not doing so! I know the movement is not perfect, but it is an aesthetic choice I made at the start of development. Therefor your argument is still valid. Also the explanation part of the game could be better, and the bonus is a very good suggestion! Well I will be adding things to the game as I go and I am planning to port it to the UNITY engine, since gamemaker is a b*ch to work with in my opinion. Once again thanks a lot for your comments and I hopefully see you guys in April!! The Synthetic Brain

Those controls are so awkward. Also makes it very difficult to get to the main fireplace. The idea is there, just needs a lot of tweaking.

It's unfortunate that the audio is from another source. Other than that, I think the game would also be a lot easier to play if movement wasn't strictly tile based as it made jumps hard. Also, I'm not sure if it was me, but I felt like the control were backwards to what I was used to. I dropped the package almost every time I went to jump.
