| Oct 4 11:49:06 | What Do You Know? | ♥ 1 | A cute idea. The question where you had to multiply two numbers to four decimal places was frustrating to see, as most of the rest of the questions can be done in your head in the allotted time and that makes this one feel a little unfair. Also, playing in 5120x1440 resolution on full screen I was unable to select an answer. Understandably, this was probably not tested for :) | |
| Oct 4 11:57:51 | 8m 45s | Coke Mania | ♥ 1 | Very difficult. The floaty jump physics add to the difficulty, but I think that's part of the charm. Some minor background positioning issues at extreme resolutions. coke.png |
| Oct 4 12:12:33 | 14m 42s | Step Up | ♥ 2 | Really clean and consistent look. The little additional mechanic where you can sit on a wall and wait for the time to run out is a great anti-frustration feature. EDIT: also, thank you so much for binding the arrow keys, as my WASD-mapping is non-standard and this makes quite a few of the games in this jam hard to play. |
| Oct 4 14:08:25 | 1h 55m | Dragon Breeder | ♥ 1 | My first playthrough was the same, couldn't figure out why the hatchling count wasn't going up. Also, regrettably the 'final score' (i think?) display appeared and disappeared before I could read it - but I think I did ok on my second run. dragon.png Consistent graphics, smooth and balanced gameplay, thematic music. Great offering :) |
| Oct 6 17:59:19 | 51h 50m | Oton | ♥ 1 | Straight up my favourite movement mechanic of the jam. There's a little gap at the peak of the jump where you could probably use some invincibility frames, as I died this way almost every game, but the rest of it is just _smooth_. The graphics and the music/sounds are simple and good enough to support the concept. Having trouble not playing this over and over instead of whatever I should actually be doing _grumble grumble_. (Also a 'you have a jump' indicator would be nice, because after 10+ horizontal dashes and various jumps it's easy to lose track.) |
