| Apr 29 18:04:09 | Gemfall | ♥ 2 | Really like the game. I really like how the music and background changes over time. I didnt know that the bug or trap looking thing would increase your speed and give you temporary invincibility as I thought it would kill you, and I have avoided it for most of the time until I got hit by it once and found out. Other than that small nitpick really cool and fun game | |
| Apr 29 18:20:23 | 16m 14s | Asteroid Ascend | ♥ 1 | Cool game. One issue I had is that I couldn't break the stones/ores directly infront of me, but could break stones/ores directly below me. I also noticed that the time to break stones and ores would be different for each one. Some would break easily while others would take longer. This was true for both laser guns. I really like how gravity would change depending on how deep you were. It would have been cool if HP was the ships as I could just hide and not care about the ufo's until I came out to deposit the ores and then immedietly hide underground again. |
| Apr 29 18:39:34 | 19m 11s | Depth Charger | ♥ 0 | Really like the shooter aspect of the game, the sound effects for shooting felt really good and exploding a mine from a distance was great. The mine, and especially the ship look really good. Wish the mines didnt have so much health as it was pretty much not worth even shooting at them and it was better to just focus on avoid them all. Not sure if it was just me but the torpedo didnt work, it kinda just sat where I shot it. Soemtimes the explosions would cover the screen making it hard to see where my ship is. The game is a bit on the short side, would have been cool if it was endless even with just the mines (maybe you could have just repeated the same terrain but have it start at a lower elevation?). The game was listed as a jam so I'm giving a rating and comment I would to a jam game but someone mentioned this is a compo in the comments so I'm sorry if that was the case. |
| Apr 29 19:35:30 | 55m 56s | World in Peril | ♥ 1 | Really impressive for a compo. I really like how the cost of cards change depending on what you previouly purchased. I think someone mentioned it already but having multiple event cards can really screw you over, so maybe more evenly distributing the events card to maybe like one every 5 cards would make it more fun. Haven't won a game yet but I'll keep trying after this. |
| Apr 29 19:54:56 | 19m 26s | Shovel | ♥ 1 | Really neat concept, and I really like the digging motion you make with the mouse since its not something you see often anymore. I really like how the dirt pile at the top get bigger as you go deeper, I love small details like that. One small nitpick is that the depth the game tells you seems really off (It appears im only a few meters deeps but the game tells me im 30m deep). Other than that it does what it says it does and is a really fun game. |
| May 6 18:48:13 | 166h 53m | Inframundo | ♥ 1 | Cool game. I really like the player sprite and how it moved (I love how its tile based since you don't see that often anymore). As someone else has mentioned before I really like the direction this game goes in. I don't know the original story but I think its pretty interesting to base your game on folklore. Maybe a little bit mroe explanation on the mechanics of the game would have been nice. I assume I got to the end but I'm still not sure what blocks my path and what doesn't. Also one small nitpick is that the player sprite is always on top of the screen and sits above the other sprites which looked a little weird. Perhaps look into layering your sprites if you continue working on this. |
