Dec 12 17:44:00 change the world Interesting take on the theme. There needs to be a bit more instruction on how to play, but once you figure it out, its relatively easy. The game crashed on me after I killed the 5th or so guy.
############################################################################################
FATAL ERROR in
action number 1
of Step Event0
for object obj_blood:

Fatal Error: Can not create vertex buffer of size 98304 bytes
10176 vertex buffers allocated with total size of 977056 KB
at gml_Object_obj_blood_Step_0
############################################################################################
Dec 12 17:49:00 5m 00s THE ROOM Its a very simple game, but does not explain much of anything. I found myself having to just randomly click on everything with it constantly saying "I can not do that". But overall I have to say it was interesting.
Dec 12 18:00:00 11m 00s Santa Claus The game is quite simple, but also difficult. You'll often find that you just can't shoot fast enough to be able to kill all the enemies that are coming at you. You really don't have a choice but to take some of the damage. When you get to the boss, you have no way of knowing if you are even damaging him until the game suddenly throws up a pop-up saying you won. There needs to be a boss health bar, or some visual feedback when you damage him, like maybe he'll flash briefly.
Dec 12 18:13:00 13m 00s Room One I like the concept, but there isn't much to it. Pretty much you just wait to make enough money and upgrade stuff, and there aren't very many upgrades to do. I very quickly found myself just sitting and watching the timer as there was nothing left to upgrade. As far as choices go, I found that there weren't many choices presented to me. The game has a lot of promise, provided more time was put into it to give more upgrades and more storyline choices.
Dec 12 18:21:00 8m 00s LaBeeRind2D The controls are very limiting in that you can only press a single direction at a time. You have to let go of one arrow before pressing another or the second arrow won't be registered. Aside from the controls issue, the game is kinda cute. Reminds me a lot of PacMan in the gameplay style, and provides just enough difficulty to make it fun.
Dec 12 18:33:00 12m 00s Leave The Room Pretty much a recursion of what Tuism said. The controls were sticky, it almost seemed like the game froze when picking up keys. The enemies move too quickly for the control style that was being used, maybe if the controls were more fluid that wouldn't have been a problem. The background music was hard to hear, but it repeated so often it quickly became a bother. The graphics were nice, and fit with the sound effects, but not with the background music. There didn't seem to be any real correlation between collecting the keys and exiting the room.
Dec 12 18:41:00 8m 00s Coincidence Overall I was really impressed with the gameplay. It's a simple concept done well. My only regret is that the story didn't play out longer than it did.
Dec 19 22:09:00 171h 28m Muto Locus I absolutely loved it. The transitions from one room to the next can take you by surprise, which caused me to die several times, but I think that was the point. I only wish the graphics were done such that they can scale to the screen, as it was very tiny on my large resolution.
Dec 19 22:21:00 12m 00s Consume Room Overall the game mechanics aren't very obvious. The game doesn't really give much indication on how to increase your health, or really how to play at all. While there is some hint to the fact that buying stuff may help, it doesn't really explain how they help.
That said, it is a very interesting take on the central theme.
Dec 19 22:29:00 8m 00s Dreamwalker Mouse controls were rather sensitive, but once you get used to it, its not so bad. I really love the "in-between" walking idea, that's kinda cool. Took me a while to figure out that I was supposed to be collecting stuff and connecting to other rooms. Think I fell like 4 times before I figured that part out.
Dec 19 22:48:00 19m 00s Kafkanian An interesting puzzle to be sure. I got as far as needing to get warm and couldn't figure out what to do from there.
Dec 19 22:56:00 8m 00s Escape the Room Overall, it's a nice game. But as others have mentioned, the movement of the player is very twitchy.
Dec 19 23:01:00 5m 00s Broom Bot Battle The movement is very slow, and it doesn't build up speed very much, if at all. This limits the player's options for strategy, as one might come from across the room, building up speed, to get that extra oomph to knock someone out. It doesn't seem to matter how far you've travelled before hitting someone, you bounce them the same amount.
I'd also advise spending just a little bit of time building an AI for un-manned bots, even it its just something simple.
