Apr 30 15:52:00 Mermaid Scientist Massacre Short but quite fun. I liked the little background details, like the paintings, statues etc.
Apr 30 16:10:00 18m 00s Drill Diver The controls are a bit hard to get the hang of (though I think they feel better on a controller). Jumping is not very responsive, but I guess that's because of the bug you mentioned. On the plus side I really liked the enemy sprites, that's some nice style :)
Apr 30 16:25:00 15m 00s Surf's Down Oh the horror! I feel my sanity slipping away!
Also, strangely addictive. I wouldn't have figured out the one-shot-on-screen thing myself, seemed a bit unintuitive for torpedos to work like that, but it made the game interesting.
Apr 30 17:29:00 1h 04m Unobtainium Nice graphics :) Seeing the other cars made me think it could be fun as a multiplayer game, though right now there isn't a huge motivation to be aggressive towards the others.
Apr 30 17:42:00 13m 00s Under Pressure Fantastic mood. Interesting combination of pixel and traditional graphics. Looks ands sounds great!
Apr 30 17:53:00 11m 00s Electric Sieve I like the mood, feels trippy thanks to the minimal graphics and vivid colors, but most of all because of the audio. Great job on that! Not really sure how it fits the theme, I guess maybe the triangles going beneath the surface of the sieve?
Apr 30 18:12:00 19m 00s Take a breath! Good job on the music and graphics :)
Apr 30 18:20:00 8m 00s Cave Dude It was fun while it lasted. Could use some more elements (slowly introduced in further levels).
Apr 30 18:27:00 7m 00s The Marvellous Sushimaker The control scheme is innovative, but hard to get the hang of. Great visual effect with the water! Could use some sound, though I know it's hard to find the time to get music in...
Apr 30 20:13:00 1h 46m Beneath Mr. Perfect The music and visual effects set a nice mood. Some of the messages are more subtle and interesting than others, like the part where you have to stop grabbing the coin.
May 2 17:06:00 44h 53m Boku no Tentacle Great commentary, makes you want to pass the level just to hear the next part. I also liked the background audio and general look and feel. Gameplay is very simple, but it doesn't get boring since the game is short.
May 2 22:51:00 5h 45m Thought Police I liked the emotion-reading element. I think it made following the dialogue and choice-making more engaging. Decent story and some nice unexpected humour :)
May 3 15:49:00 16h 58m Just Your Typical Dating Game Wow, that good ending took me a really long time to get. Somewhat chaotic but pretty fun :)
May 6 22:29:00 78h 40m Organ Run Awesome mechanics! The rocket jumps and gravity rotation make a great combination. Definitely has potential for post-compo development :)
May 7 19:41:00 21h 12m (sub)surface Gameplay above the surface feels more fun than below, but the recoil for movement mechanic is interesting. Needs some element to encourage switching between above/below.
May 7 20:03:00 22m 00s 2587: Screw You ET I liked the planet generation and explosion animation, planets sure take a while to blow up...
The drills are a bit too easy to operate: you can just set them all off at the beginning and forget about them. Could be more interesting if they required more maintenance, e.g. ETs trying to break them.
May 7 22:47:00 2h 44m Behind Mirror Frustratingly hard but really satisfying. Nice twists keep gameplay interesting. Visuals and sound are also very fitting. Quite impressive for 48h, well done :)
Checkpoint frequency is about right, but it needs a save function... I started playing late in the evening and had to quit early... Hopefully I'll come back and finish it.
May 8 21:26:00 22h 39m Any ship can be a MINESWEEPER... Once. Nice explosions and great song :) Gameplay is pretty solid too. It takes some skill to predict where the bomb will end up.
May 8 21:44:00 18m 00s Under a Martial Artist's Skin Nice ansi graphics and interesting gameplay :) Though the white-on-yellow left punch text was really hard to read for me...
May 8 22:14:00 30m 00s Reflection Cool gameplay concept along with some thought out levels :)
I also loved the camera visual effect. The graphics are minimal but perfectly balanced. Music is simple but sounds very nice.
May 8 22:41:00 27m 00s Reflection Great mechanic, and some nice tricky platform-placements. I found the "jumping through walls" parts a bit too frustrating though. I'm guessing some audio-visual feedback on the switch action could help. With a little polish this will be an awesome game!
May 9 16:37:00 17h 56m Sharks With Feelings Interesting backstory and great audiovisuals. Nice touch with the music changing when above the water surface :)
May 9 16:52:00 15m 00s Underneath Great graphics and ambient music. Solid game system, some nice details like slowing down when carrying a lot of stuff. I was missing some animation/sound while being attacked though, I felt invinsible sometimes while I was actually dying :P
May 9 17:27:00 35m 00s BENEATH the SURFACE Nice narrative :) Jumping mechanic was a little confusing as others have mentioned.
May 9 17:32:00 5m 00s Beneath The Darkness The final boss seems very easy, but takes so long to kill, you end up running out of hp... very sneaky :P
May 9 18:27:00 55m 00s Operation Blind October The concept and aesthetics are great! Controlling the ship is a little difficult. It would be nice if it was easier to stand still.
May 9 19:13:00 46m 00s In Hiding Interesting idea. Gameplay is very simple yet very engaging. The background audio is also simple but effective (speed increasing when the situation gets dangerous, nice!)
May 10 15:54:00 20h 41m Go! Go! Purgatory! Great art and character designs. The plot is pretty much a collection of gags but there is some nice humor in there.
May 10 17:33:00 1h 39m The Valley Rule Solid platformer. Very polished art (including animations), sound and gameplay. I liked how the skill-learning mechanism opened up new areas, which were previously inaccessible leading to non-linear map traversal. Climbing and double-jump made a great combination! Nice idea with the "reverse stairs". Althlough damn, that last one was hard (actually I had to pass it a few times because of my stupidity...).
Aesthetics are quite heavily influenced by Fez: the patterns, the colors, the chests... but it looks great nonetheless. Especially the character sprite. Adorable! ^^
