Aug 27 08:47:00 The Island + your initial concept sounds interesting
- I only found two turtles, are there any other animals?
Aug 27 08:53:00 6m 00s Unnatural Selection + great simple artwork
+ funny twist on the theme
- the gameplay could be a bit better
- too short
Aug 27 09:03:00 10m 00s Badass + f***ing hipsters!
+ nice graphics and animations
+ really effective audio
+ I played it just to see what was coming up next

- kinda short
Aug 27 09:16:00 13m 00s The Plurality + nice mood and story
+ good graphics

- why do you have to start the game from the beginning when you get caught?
- the game froze several times and became unresponsive
Aug 27 09:32:00 16m 00s FLOWERBOT + I liked the graphics
+ good take on the theme
+ fluid movement

- some parts are too difficult
- I sort of hoped that the water drops falling from the ceiling would grow the plant
Aug 27 09:52:00 20m 00s Adlus: Mouse Of Truth + those are some creepy funny graphics
+ very good mood and story

- it feels more like a story than a game
- what are you supposed to kill in the grid?
Aug 27 14:23:00 4h 31m TOWER of Evolution + it's nice that you've made so many different characters
+ fun to play

- the dying sound is truly tormenting, a real motivator to keep you from dying.
- why are the spikes so well blended into the environment? At first I kept dying without knowing why...
- also, you could add some more colours to the game
Aug 27 14:28:00 5m 00s Evolution of a monster I really enjoyed playing your game. The artwork is wonderful and reminded me a bit of Minecraft (for a second there I actually believed Notch was back to making LD games)However, I could really appreciate a walkthrough as I got stuck after feeding the blobs a couple of times.
(btw, I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be a mirror, not a key..as it shines..but still have no idea where or how to use it)
Aug 27 14:38:00 10m 00s Caveman Evolution Story + nice graphics
+ good story

- it took me 3 attempts to actually play the game, the first times it would simply crash or some error would appear.
- too short
Aug 27 20:13:00 5h 35m Biovolve + cute graphics
+ nice music

- not very innovative
- there's not too much evolution involved
Aug 27 20:43:00 30m 00s The Legend of Elzad + I like Zelda-like games
+ good graphics and music, kinda hard to believe you managed to do all this in only 48 h

- there's not a lot of evolution going on
Aug 30 14:17:00 65h 34m Live On Out + I agree, this has huge potential

- collisions were a bit off
Aug 30 14:37:00 20m 00s Enzyme + nice and simple
- maybe a little too simple

* I think that by simply adding eyes to the bacteria it would have gained more character
* since you're a Java programmer you should check Scala too
Aug 30 19:04:00 4h 27m The life of Cat + the music was the best part
+ I liked the overall documentary-feel

- "Cat lived a long life", yeah of about 5 minutes ;)
Aug 30 19:33:00 29m 00s Collect + entertaining concept
+ interesting aproach

- no savepoints
- no continue
Aug 30 20:13:00 40m 00s Go Back The game was fun to play, really, and it was polished too, and the music was ok also but, but, but I fail to see anything remotely related to evolution in it...
Aug 31 05:58:00 9h 45m Diverge hmm... it tells me that I need the DirectX update from April 2008 although I currently have DX 11
Aug 31 17:08:00 11h 10m My Time this was sooo meta and funny, I know it's really short but it was pretty epic
Sep 2 14:34:00 45h 26m It Will Grow I didn't quite get how you were supposed to combine the plants. I got some new plants, probably by mistake... The idea is good however, and the graphics are simple and nice.
Sep 2 15:18:00 44m 00s Poggle Island I really liked the game even from the Beta. However, I don't like that you have to wait for the cloud to charge up... in this respect the beta was better. Also, clicking on creatures to prevent them from mating is a bit useless as you have to keep pressing the cloud and that takes so long.. All in all, a very nice game I enjoyed!
Sep 2 15:30:00 12m 00s Rise of a Colony The basic idea is good, although it's not really new. However, the part where you have to wait for your colony to evolve is boring. You might want to add some more upgrades, or maybe there could be several ages to go through..
Sep 2 15:53:00 23m 00s Gene Game + really nice UI
+ I like how you divided the execution in "phases" - that was pretty clever. You can't have them bumping into each other AND having them move simultaneously.
- kinda short on levels, but that's understandable since the time was too short

*I also made a game similar to this, but with more programming (Robot Unlock), and I released it even before Space Chem... I see everyone liked and remembers Space Chem (shameless self-advertisement)
Sep 2 18:26:00 2h 33m Crab The game creates a very good atmosphere and the graphics and music are quite suitable. The only thing I don't get is what this has to do with evolution...
Sep 2 19:12:00 46m 00s Meow for MUTATION! I actually did my bachelor's graduation paper on genetic algorithms and I'd have to say that this is probably the most fun you'll get out of a game entitled "Genetic algorithms" made in 48 hours.

Kudos to you for even trying to make a game based on GAs!
Sep 4 14:45:00 43h 33m Petrivolution + played it more than most LD games
+ graphics and audio are fine
+ freemode :D

- it gets kinda crowdy at some point...
Sep 6 06:18:00 39h 33m Decade Dash + graphics are ok-ish
+ it's nice that you changed so many backgrounds and tunes

- why can I run back and forth? why can I go right in front and not see what's going to come my way? There's no running back and forth in Bit Trip: Runner, or Canabalt or Robot Unicorn Attack
- white seagull on white city background
- evolution?

* at the very end the framerate dropped abruptly - I dunno if that was on purpose or not...
Sep 7 11:06:00 28h 48m A Conglomerate of Pixels I guess this is a simplified Captain Forever... but in which enemies can also attach parts. I think it fits the theme more than most other games. I liked it :) I guess this can only get better if you add physics and some sort of behaviour to the enemies (in other words: if you continue developing this I will definitely play it)
Sep 8 13:10:00 26h 04m Virion + cute and spinny
+ nice take on the graphics
+ some puzzle elements
+ 99% circles

- evolution? where? oh, I guess you could say that enemies "evolve"... as in "they get harder to avoid" but that's true for many other games
Sep 9 12:39:00 23h 29m 3 Little Pigs I really wanted to hurt that pig because the bricks were so damn annoying. I guess I got into the game, so good job!
Sep 9 13:58:00 1h 19m Flitter-Flatter Although spinning around in circles to enter rage mode can get the best of my fingers..the game is really cute and addicting. The graphics are polished and I haven't seen this game mechanic before. Good job!
Sep 14 09:53:00 115h 55m Cubevo + I really liked the concept, at first it looks a bit like Minecraft but then you see that it's more towards discovering hidden treasures and gathering stuff... it's really addictive :D
+ blocky graphics and vivid colours work well
- after clicking like crazy, the amount of items rendered tends to make my video board cough :( but that's not your fault
