LD38 — A Small World

Supernova by Veralos 2017-05-04T03:06:56Z

Pretty simple game, but I enjoyed playing. SFX was pretty good, songs were great, but some sounds were a little too loud, I think. I liked how map difficulty had progression the closer you were to the sun, even if they were randomly generated. Overall a pretty solid game.

Hello, @those-30-ninjas! Yeah, the dash button is supposed to have a really small cooldown (either 0.5s or 1s, not really sure) so you don't spam it all the time. We couldn't finish the visual cues for the dash button CD nor the melee button CD in time to the jam. The sound effect is something that was not supposed to happen, though, so we'll look into it. Thanks for the feedback ^^.

Thanks for the extra feedback, everyone!

We are sorry we couldn't make an AI in time, but as we mentioned before in the Post Mortem, we knew this was probably going to happen. Perhaps next time we'll have a basic something to give you guys by the end of the jam. About the gameplay, I suppose it's kinda bland as it is. We'll be working on it from here onwards, so expect new content soon! :)

Also, like we mentioned, some features were not given enough time to test/fix. Controller configuration for more than 2 players was one of those. We had to set for Unity's default manager, and it's safe to think that everyone agrees that it's far from usable. Next build will have an ingame controller config which (hopefully) will fix that problem.

That's it for now, guys. Thanks for all the support ^^. I'm kinda sad we didn't make it to the judging cut, but it was a great experience nonetheless. Thanks everyone!
