Yes, we wanted the player to have less health at start to stick to the theme (so you have no health and no orbs attached when starting), but we needed a few other mechanics to make this playable.

Good point on the visual and audio feedback when getting hit. We'll probably include this in a post LD version.

Nice mechanics ! It's something I could see working quite well with more levels and more parts.
