LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

He Has Hostages by Joseph Manley 2018-12-04T13:17:48Z

@kamen-kitanov Thanks for your feedback! (I never noticed any slowdown at the walls but now that you mention I see it now lol) We might change the hostage acquisition screen in a post ludem build so thanks for letting us know!

@stu That sounds like an awesome idea! We plan to make a post jam build and definitely look into adding stuff like that!

Really fun! That background synth needs work tho try something with less attack and a more steady waveform

I liked the idea but I dont really see how it really effected gameplay all that much. The platforming was a bit awkward at places (the stairs near the beginning took me like 5 minutes) and the lack of sounds made it feel just a little bit strange. Otherwise I hope you had a great time this LD!

Loved the art, but the hit detection for attacks needs work. I found myself having a lot of trouble actually hitting anything. Fun idea too. Trying for some clearer sounds would help a lot too! Otherwise a great first step!
