Really fun! I like the random upgrades, the interesting map boundaries, and the color palette!
Suggestions:
1. The enemy AI seems to be unable to find me well unless I wander and I can sometimes trap them by hiding on the other side of a wall. This incentivizes me waiting at the spawn location as long as possible so I can get as many upgrades as possible before I have to start fighting. It does seem that the enemies get a little stronger too (?) though which does help this a bit! It seems that a pathfinding algorithm like navmesh might help a lot! 2. Enemies seem to spawn at random locations without taking into account the player's position at the time. This means they might spawn right next to the player or too far away to find the player. I got killed by a spawning enemy at one point. It might help to spawn the enemies within a certain range of the player--at least x units away, but no more than y units away, for example.
Overall really great! Good job and I hope you keep working on this!
Did I miss the audio or there is none ? Aside from that, I wanted to see the upgrade I will have and I had fun shooting. One hit death was a bit of a buzzkill for me though. Nice game.
