Nice job!
Hey hey:) Can't seem to run the excutable, I get vcruntime140_1D.dll errors (also MSVCP140D.dll) - any ideas how I can get it to run? PS. using windows 10 and a gforce 1080ti (tried running as admin too but to no avail) Thanks a bunch:P
Great to C new games with Raylib! :-D
@guine Thank you!
@u4ia Sorry to hear that! I realized that I forgot to change the VS configuration to release, so that might have been the problem. I've replaced the file on itch with a release version, which will hopefully resolve the issue.
A really simple and fun little game. The visuals is pretty good for a combo game, and the music is okay. The only complain is that the playtime is super short, but else a super fun game to play. Well done.
A nicely done small game. The graphics was cute and harmonic - and the way the landscape was moving cool. It made me laugh when "put big explosion here" part showed up! I think this is also a great way to include fun in your game. The game mechanics were a bit too easy, I can think of two things: 1. fire/steam too quickly cooled off 2. there was no hurt to move slow... it would have been better with a race-monster following the train so there would be higher stakes.
Great that you included some basic audio - it worked.
17.41 is my record! I don't know if I can get much faster than that, the strategy is spam 3 piles of coal, then wait until that runs out and immediately put one last one.
I agree a bit with @hotaloca, I would have liked to have seen at least 1 other game mechanic, maybe make some use of the player movement? Since right now the gameplay boils down to functionally "press spacebar at the right moment", which is not bad, just a bit mechanically shallow. Maybe even something as simple as having multiple piles of coal that eventually run out could be enough to add some tactic to the game!
That said, for a compo game this is perfectly fine and I really liked the visuals, they are simple but effective, and the UI is very intuitive.
