Fun game, really interesting that it's made completely in java! I found it really difficult to have enough energy to get through the game as the +5 fish hardly gave any back, and some of the red fish felt like they moved to fast to dodge.
nice game !
Overall fun game, limiting the aiming to 30 degrees up and down is quite a unique concept but I find it odd that your sub won't face the left side after pressing left.
@foopy thank you for the feedback! Yes that was something that I do regret a little bit, but my main thought process was that I wanted to make it easier to go down and to the right, and harder to go up and to the left (essentially, it’s easier to go deeper) I may update that in the future. But again thank you!
@nuclearchair thank you for your comments! I will keep that noted for my next game. Also, I’ve always been super inspired by Notch, and he usually made his games from scratch in Java as well, so that was why I chose it :D
@nyanpierre thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Cute jam! What amazed me that you used pure java for this, why?! XD
@doctortm thank you and good question! Mostly Bc it’s just more fun and satisfying imo to create everything myself, and I just enjoy the process. I really need to learn some key engines and stuff, but the computer I have rn isn’t super duper powerful, so I just like using an IDE 🙃
This is a pretty good game that you got here, I was a wee bit surprised you used java to create it so kudos in that regard, super impressive. If I may make one criticism on the game, it's that the sound effects are a bit much, almost a bit too sharp, but that's really just a minor thing that I have to say about it. Everything else was legitimately super well made, including the graphics for it! Good job!
@borderdestroyer very much appreciated :), and I will take note of the sound comment
