Cool web!!!
There are some really cool ideas in this game. The overall idea fits really well with the theme as well. Unfortunately, some of the gameplay is really unclear. There isn't a consistent visual language about good gameobjects vs bad objects. ie The cross and souls are both green but one makes you lose souls while the other gives you souls. The opening intro/comic was really well done.
I enjoyed the challanges to the core gameloop with the lights going out and the book flipping the world upside down. The webs are perhaps too frequent for how much of an advantage they give. It would be cool to see the idea taken further in the future.
Really like this concept! This actually gave me flashbacks to one of the minigames in Fusion Frenzy a long time ago. Nice integration of the theme into story and gampelay. Good graphics and color palette choice for the time limitations and the comic at the beginning was great. A larger amount/interval of obstacles would be nice, as I felt there were parts where I was just running without having to do much for longer stretches.
well done ! as said before it's a really good concept, with cool graphics sounds a fully functional menu, an intro and outro and even an awesome title art for the itch io page ^^
But the gameplay lacks some polish : the loop is quite barren for a runner, it's hard to tell if an item is good or not, and the webs are useless most of the time (if you're on the top loop you are just propelled in the air ^^)
PS : I've reach your game from another LD submission page (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/hellloop) WUT ?
