I see a lot of potential in your game, I really enjoy story based games. I hope you have the chance to finish it! I really liked the graphics. I would suggest also adding some ambient noise so that you are even more immersed in the setting of your character :)
It has the potential, for sure. I think that we must be careful with plot decisions in these jams. It also happened to my team a few years ago... we spent a lot of time crafting the story and it got complex to a point where we didn't even managed to show up with playable stuff.
I don't know how much experience you have, but my advice is try creating a basic mechanic for a very basic goal, like: go to point A and B, after that you can think about details in between "A and B"
