Very nice idea! But as you said, ambitious for this jam. I felt in love with the art. Please improve this game post jam, i want to try it !

at first it looks very good but that you don't know what to do
Nice graphics, and super solid gameplay for what it is. I know its a bit unfinished, but I played on Mac and had to force quit the game everytime I died. Not sure if youre aware or not. You def had a good foundation for a rouge like here if you want it.
Nice premise for a game. I agree with @vuvuzuellainc that it was ambitious for a jam, but I'm glad you came up with something. Keep it up!
p.s. Special props to you for the Mac build :)
For an programmer you made some really nice assets there ;) You should improve a bit your controlls, so that you hit only in the looking or moving direction.
