@justcamh Which link are you trying? I've provided two links with the game. One of Google Drive and another of itch.io
Links doesn't work
@theboss12 can you post a screenshot? 'Cause the link is working from my side.
@sukantapatra "We couldn't find your page" Did you set the game page on itch.io as "published"? By default its in "draft" and can only be seeing by you (if you are logged)
@SukantaPatra There are two links (on this site), but they are both identical. Like sukantapatra says, you need to make the game public for us to see it!
@cowa Thanks, actually this was my first time so didn't have any idea . LOL. The game is public now. You can try it out. Thank You so much!
@justcamh Sorry, I made it public now.You can try it out. Apologies again and thanks for the patience!
@sukantapatra Now that it's available, I've tried, and here's what I think. The game looks very nice, but is unfortunately tedious to play. This is almost entirely because of the controls and character movement. The player can attach to/get stuck in walls, which looks glitchy and unintended. Furthermore, this can be used to scale walls, by simply getting yourself stuck in the wall, then jumping and wriggling around a bit. I also experienced twice a complete inability to jump, even though I had no logs on me. There also seemed to be an impassible area, early on in the tutorial section, where it teaches you to press shift to sacrifice. There is a dirt block that looks unintentionally placed, blocking the player. I managed to scale this obstacle using the wall climbing bug mentioned earlier, and pressing on I found that there was only one level, which was a bit disappointing. I would recommend reconsidering the balance of the logs. With just two logs, you are unable to jump one block high, which is necessary for most of the level. Whilst the reduction of jump height is genius, there is currently no reason to pick up the logs, as ultimately, I'm just going to throw it away later. Maybe if you could carry more logs, with each having less of an effect, there could be a challenge to exit the level with as many as possible, but at the moment, the max is two, maybe three.
I really liked the graphical elements of the game, particularly the rock writing. It looked very well made and paired well with the art style. Once certain level design and character control elements were fixed, this could turn out to be a very fun game, with some strategic elements. Keep it up!
@justcamh Thank you so much for the feedback! Firstly, apologies for only one level and bad level design. Actually, this was my first game jam ever so didn't know how to manage my time and finally ended with no time at all to complete the game. This is the only reason why I didn't get time to implement music and fully implement the game. Secondly, the point you were talking about the reason to collect the logs. Well, actually I was going to implement an enemy wild hog, which the player has to kill by throwing the logs on the enemy, but as I didn't have time, I ended up not implementing it. Though, I'll surely get back to this game and try to complete it some day! Thanks!!
