I think there might have been a bug. I could only interact with the button that starts the Adventure. I tried to click and drag items, but they didn't respond.
I tried to click the button multiple times quickly, and it resulted in my adventuring Danny Devito dying but continuing to fight the enemy.
Is this the expected result?
I'm curious what the basic game mechanics were going to be. Where are you going to add a limit to the number of items allowed in your inventory? Did the results of the Adventure have any effect on the inventory? If you died would you still get loot, or would that result in a game over?
I found it difficult to scroll through the items in the inventory. There is a way to click on the scroll bar itself and move your mouse to the bottom of the window without I scrolling to the bottom of the list. I was able to get it to move by using the toggle, however, ran into the same issue when I tried to scroll to the top.
I hope you keep working on this post jam. There have been a handful of inventory management games, and I'd like to see how you interpreted the theme.
@saoi-games Thank you for feedback. Indeed, there may be serious bugs in the game, because we ran out of time. Dragging items should work nicely though. Our idea was to limit the inventory with weight, not by number of items.
The main problem was with the log event system. We've made simple demo, and then tried to expand on it, but we've faced bugs, which we couldn't fix, and had to scrap everything and go with this buggy demo version. That's why death is not the end of the game and it's just keeps going.
We are still inspired by this idea, and we're currently planning on how to remake this game. We're thinking about island/dungeon to explore, where after character's death, other would be able to pick up his items, and venture further, or if the character didn't die, he would return with items and money for the next adventure.
We're planning small, but trying to leave ways for expanding the game. Thank you again for feedback :)
I liked the Graphics, and the Gameplay was fun, Nice Game.
