Hello there... It's seems to be a pretty small game... I hope your participation at LD was satisfactory...

Here is my rating: Overall: 2 Fun: 2 Innovation: 2 Theme: 4 Graphics: 3 Audio: 2 I guess I don't need to say why that was my rating :D

Here is my entry: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/runoutofenergy-the-game rating me please! :D There my game link for Windows… enjoy https://www.dropbox.com/s/dpapwuoscuiu9eq/RunOutOfPower.zip?dl=0

I also use Unity to make it IMG.png

@bso Thank you for you feedback ! But it would be cool if you said why it was your rating ^^ To see in what I can improve myself ^^ I will test your game !

I just didnt seem to get the pieces that i needed in order to be able to complete it :P Nice game and fits the theme well.

I like the procedural approach. Also it is a cool concept. The timer was a little too fast for me to finish the game. But I like difficult games. Some advice: tell the player it has to drag the current piece, because it wasn't clear at first :)

martinus 2017-08-01 14:49

@furkanfs Thanks you :) You can drop one piece in the save slot or you can put randomly piece in the map until you get the piece you need ;) I will test your game !

@jolix Thanks you ! A lot of people say too that 30 seconds is a little too fast but I think it is what make the game interesting. With some training you can finish a level in 20 seconds :D I change the description to explain (in ldjam and gamejolt) that you have to drag and drop the current piece ^^ I will test your game !

A nice, little, enjoyable game! I didn't really have problems with the 30 seconds too much (after I figured out you rotate by pressing Z. I know it's mentioned, but my mind derped up badly), and I found it gave it a nice amount of balanced challenge to the game.

The music wasn't *really* the best, but it wasn't the worst either. It just didn't sound right for me.

Overall, I like the game! Definitely something I could waste some free time on :)

@snowy Thanks you for the feedback ! It's the first time I make a real music with Bosca Ceoil so I'm pretty proud of me ahah ! I'll train to make better music for the next time !

well... It's a simple game, but it's hard, I played many times until I won :v drag and drop system is hard for me even if I always use the mouse at maximun speed at Windows... or maybe I am accustomed to "just click" Jajaja

If you ask me what you need to improve to make a better game... I think you need pay atention to the "Fun" rating... I guess... maybe with different stages, or some pick up items like time givers, or vacins to give you more time... something interactive...

Why my fun rank is too low?... It's because seems to be a random map, and just one... even if It's a random map I feel if I can complete one... I complete everyone... Well It's my idea

I hope you participate next Ludum Dare :D see you there.

@martinus I saved the CDC!

Things I liked:

The Gameplay: I like the sort of timed Tetris kind of gameplay. Rather than just give a limited amount of pipes, I like how you just kept them coming and time was your enemy.

The Tutorial: This might sound a little lame, but to me I am very glad you made a good tutorial screen. A lot of people even myself neglect a tutorial other than the description, but you very clearly explained how to play your game in the menu. Nice touch!

Things I didn't like:

The Impossible Levels: I encountered a few impossible levels, which you are aware of by the ability to reset a level. I don't like this because it makes the game not feel as "genuine" if you will. I would have appreciated if you made a system that checked if there was an available path before creating the level. That way you could add in a score for how many levels you got in a row.

It was a great idea! Well done!

@hungare Thanks you for you feedback :) I didn't figure out how to make a check system but yes I could (Running out of time not of power ahah ;) ) Happy to see that my little tutorial was useful :D I will test your game !
