Hey yeah! Very nice to see you participating for the first time, I'm also 17 years old and really like to see young people making games, but some info may be usefull for you, when creating a game in Compo, you need to create all the resources in 48 hours, and I recognized this character from http://www.2dgameartguru.com/http://www.2dgameartguru.com
So, probabily you should subscribe your game as Jam, not Compo.
Also, good luck with your games :)
As said above, for the Ludum Dare Compo you need to create all the assets by yourself in 48 hours and the character that you use is here: http://www.2dgameartguru.com/2012/04/top-down-view-soldier.html (Post is dated April 2012) so this would be a jam game, not compo.
However, good try and keep improving for the next editions!
I'm glad to be receiving comments, thanks guys! However, with what you two said about the character, I did use their tutorial to help me with making the character look better. But I tried to stray from their character. If you're not allowed to use tutorials for making your assets, or base your character off others, i'll gladly move my game from Jam to Compo.
Good game, nice to see some new people creating games.
Jam vs Compo if you made the characters it's good for the compo just can't copy paste graphics / code tutorials are the way to learn. Just don't copy the scrips you can use them for examples.
Pretty good. I would add some particles. It's nice.
