Here it is. My first game!! My kids and I (plus some great people at TinkerMill) helped pull this together. Everything was created new as of Friday night. I'm tired now. Going to bed. I hope you enjoy our game!!!

Hi! I really liked the intro with the cute hand-drawn graphics! There were some sharp corners in your game where enemies would get stuck, making it impossible to go up further. But that was the only bug I found, and it's really impressive you were even able to make your first game in 72 hours! Good job!

@IamAcoconut. Thanks for your feed back. I appreciate it!! Yes. The way to get around them is to realize that you can touch the enemies and spam them with pillows. You lose 20% of your health each time you touch an enemy, but if you stay touching them, there's another bug where it doesn't deduct your health. But still....both bugs need to be fixed. I can now regularly beat the boss. But it takes some practice, and knowing about some flaws. It was SO much fun to put this together. I always wanted to make a game, but was too afraid that it would take too long. But this event showed me that you can make something playable in a weekend (ok. a 39 hour weekend), and it was a real charge.

Fun game idea. I was just missing some sounds, and perhaps some music.

The game is under a judgement, therefore it's impossible to play it on the page. I don't really have guts to go for the source. You had better host it on some better place.

Thanks Marek. I'm new to this. Try it here: http://terryg.itch.io/destroy-the-band

I just learned about itch.io.

Thanks, jk. Like a lot of people, we ran out of time before we could get everything done.

Congrats on your first game! I hope you'll continue making games with your kids :D, they'll learn a lot of valuable lessons from it!

Thanks, Frosnite. My 18 year old had a great time learning gimp and learning how to do simple sprite sheets. My 15 year old was very helpful with what he had learned about Unity from a programming camp. Everyone had a great time.

Funny idea, though the visuals during gameplay didn't look very good. I get that you were going for a sketchy notebook style, but the game itself looked more like MS Paint. The intro was cute, though!

Thanks crazy. I had redone some of the photos later that night, and my daughter (who is more familiar with gimp) said, dad, you forgot to balance the colors. Duh.
