Interesting approach with the random switch between the layers, but I could not find a way to do more than running and jumping around.
Is there a way to open the crates or get to the layer with the juwelery?
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD31 → Jewel Thief

The levers on the top floor open the crates. There is indeed a way to get to the layer with the jewelry. It took a lot of testing to verify this. :)
The switches never point to the left for me like in your screenshot, I'm guessing this is a bug.
Bug aside I didn't really like the game. While some experimenting and exploring to get to the goal is fine, there is no feedback whatsoever on whether you're getting closer or not. Players just need to keep messing around with the switches in the hope that anything new changes.
I found it a little confusing and couldn't get to the jewel or activate the levers. Character movement and collision detection otherwise seem fine.
YOU PRESS CTRL TO SWITCH THE LEVERS!!
I I finally figured it out by trial and error, I don't remember it being mentioned anywhere :(
Other than that frustration... pretty fun game, innovative take on the classic platformer
I never really internalized how the screen wrapping worked, which got in my way when I wanted to futz with the levers. There are some interesting ideas here that could make for a fun puzzle game but I think there needs to be a little more transparency as far as how the player is affecting the world.
Sorry everyone for not explicitly saying use left-control to activate the levers!
*shame time now*
Interesting, and cool mechanics!
reaaly nice game i enjoyed a lot
Interesting gameplay. The enemy in a crate came as a surprise :P Had no idea of how to get to the diamond though.
