Cool. Someone else who's using slick and LWJGL

quarry 2012-04-21 17:26

I love me some java

davidllanos22 2012-04-21 17:55

Doesn't work for me :s It can't find the main class. I'm using slick too!

deza 2012-04-21 18:31

Nice, but it strained my eyes =(

quarry 2012-04-21 20:01

@Derek, sorry, I tried my best to have a proper color palette

@davidllanos22, try launching with java -jar Verse.jar at the folder

darkhogg 2012-04-21 22:01

A bit of advice: Don't put a "Windows" link if it's acctually a cross-platform Java game. Some peaople (including myself) might skip the game when rating...

Also, a bash/batch script would be nice if launching is not as simple as a double-click (chmod+doubleclick for linuxers!)

Anyway, good to see more LWJGL/Slick games. I will try the game when finished.

I am also using LWJGL/Slick and cant figure out how to export, help a bro out and either tell me or link me please?

quarry 2012-04-22 05:59

@Darkhogg, the thing is that I didn't add the runtimes for LWJGL for Mac and Linux

quarry 2012-04-22 06:10

Another way would be to add Java to your PATH line (Google to find out how to do it)

danlthemanl 2012-04-24 21:20

I started it and there were no enemies. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

tinco 2012-04-24 22:10

Hi could you explain how we could get these libraries and run your game from the commandline?

dx0ne 2012-04-25 08:54

Liked graphics and music a lot. Should add option to turn off sounds(not music).

jmrante 2012-04-28 21:26

Though the way you have the waves of asteroids set up is odd, this game is sweetly consistent in tone.
