Dec 17 03:02:00 Broken Breakout? Really enjoyed your game! I liked the unique twist on Breakout, and I thought that the physics (esp. weight) of the ball and the feedback from hitting blocks and walls felt really good. I also liked the sound effects, that gave really clear feedback on what you were hitting. The only thing I found was that sometimes you got stuck having to drag the room out of the screen to keep the ball from hitting a red block - maybe making the room collide with the borders of the screen would help? Overall I thought that the game felt really polished and a lot of thought went into the levels and the progression of what it teaches you. Great submission and thanks for entering (also - thanks for your review! :D). Hope you have a great Ludum Dare :)
Dec 21 02:43:00 95h 41m I Clean Toilet Great game! I loved the frantic arcade-y speed of it and simple mechanics. The difficulty ramp-up felt great and the pace also scaled up nicely. I liked how there was a mix of an initial clean-up to get ready for the bathroom-goers and then the panic of trying to keep up with the ones that were coming and going. I also liked that the layout of the bathrooms changed in each stage to keep things fresh. The graphics and sound effects were great! I liked the grossness and variety. Laughed a lot at the aliens. Things I might have changed might include: 1.) Make it so tips could be used to upgrade your kit. Maybe make tools take less presses to clean with, add another locker at the other side of the room, mints to reduce angry faces, etc. 2.) Add more tools you might need as the levels progress, or add a new mechanic to increase the player workload. Maybe you'd need to clean up spills from the floor (and if you didn't, they'd make you slip past a stall that needed cleaning). 3.) Sometimes i started cleaning the wrong stall by mistake when misinterpreting where i was. Maybe if a press of the button made you move back and forth one 'place' to feel more precise. Also on the control note - maybe a button other than E would be good for 'action' - sometimes i found it slower to clean when walking to the right.

Overall really enjoyed your game! Really professional output for the short time, some of the best art I've seen in the jam so far too. Thanks as well for your review. Thank you for your submission and I hope you have a great jam!
Dec 21 02:49:00 6m 00s LocusLudi Hey impressive work on the engine and all in 48 hours! I've done that for past jams and I know it isn't easy. I really liked your interpretation of the theme, and I'm glad you're going to continue working on the game. I think that there's a lot of potential in the idea, and it could be a lot of fun with friends to have a virtual room to play games in. One potential bug I noticed is that the first time I ran the game keyboard input didn't work. Haven't had time to dig into your source too much but wanted to make you aware of it. Thanks for your review of my game and your submission! Will be interested to see where you go with it! Hope you enjoy the rest of your Ludum Dare!
Dec 21 02:55:00 6m 00s Full House Hey fantastic idea and a great game! The multiplayer brawler was a really great idea, and the health system is really innovative and a great take on the theme. I liked the animations a lot and the music was a great bit of polish on the game that a lot of games (*cough* mine) don't have time to add. Kudos there! The sound effects were also good and it was a lot of fun knocking the tenants out of my friends' houses. If I could make one suggestion to improve the game it would be to add 'moves' that might help knock the people out of other houses (like a punch to add a big impulse on a nearby object) but that would make you more vulnerable at the same time - maybe they would knock you back or work by flipping one of your walls open. Overall a great idea and a big laugh to play! Thanks for your submission, hope you have a great Ludum Dare!
Dec 21 02:59:00 4m 00s Just a normal top-down shooter Cool game! I like the idea of enemies not getting eliminated as you shoot them, and the game stacking the deck against you both with respect to time and the number of times you have died. The spinning ship effect and different colour for ships you lost is also neat. Cool Atari-style sound effects too! Thanks for your submission!
Jan 3 02:23:00 311h 24m Mutrix Really cool game! I love the take on the spot the difference game with the VR vibe. Really good use of space and theme. Had a lot of fun with this one! I agree with the previous recommendation concerning adding more variance, but I really liked the single colours used on objects - I think avoiding complex textures and keeping the graphics simple colour-wise was a good idea. I might have leaned toward variance in shapes? I feel like that would be less confusing to the eye but add variance and maybe a measure of time-suspense in the case of objects which rotate or move around. I think that the eye reset button was a really good feature. Definitely a necessary one that made the game a lot more intuitive for me. Hope you had a good LD and thanks for your review!
Jan 3 02:54:00 31m 00s Kiln Really enjoyed this one! Loved the GB/game-and-watch vibe and neat twist on sokoban. Took me a minute to figure out that blocks could push one another, and another minute to figure out that that was sometimes a problem! :P. Puzzles were well thought out, and I thought the sound and graphics were really polished. As with any puzzle games future iterations could include new mechanics, but I would definitely play a hundred or so of the puzzles like yours without getting tired of them. Great job, hope you enjoyed your ld!
