Dec 19 15:38:00 Alone - Island Generator Indeed, not bad guitar! Unfortunately not really game. One thing to note though is that you need to check for the player's movement keys being held down all the time, as it's possible to hold up, then right, then release right and still expect to move up.
Dec 19 16:00:00 22m 00s LEFTalone Random zombie/item placement would have been icing on the cake I think. I like it!
Dec 19 16:03:00 3m 00s Holdout I couldn't play for long, the jerking of the screen really made it disorienting. Lovely art though.
Dec 19 16:07:00 4m 00s Cosmic Whale COSMIC WHALE, HOLY GRAIL! Bizarre but I like it. The high-pitched sound gets a little painful after a while though!
Dec 19 16:14:00 7m 00s Always Alone Great take on Alone. I think a lot of people have been in this situation at least once in their lives.
Jan 4 16:20:00 384h 06m Tarassis Interesting idea, shame there isn't a great deal to it! A rewrite that late before the deadline sucks. Better luck next time.
Jan 4 16:31:00 11m 00s AMNEISA: Little Lost Sheep Pretty neat little game, although the site you hosted it on (Mediafire) tends to have adult pop-behind windows even in Chrome. Thought I'd mention it as a warning for others when they download.
Jan 4 16:38:00 7m 00s ZED Survivor faijdherbe, the problem is here: <br/> <br/>J:\temp\ld48 games\ZedSurvivor&gt;java -jar ZedSurvivor.jar <br/>init <br/>loaded level: 10000 - java.awt.Dimension[width=100,height=100] <br/>start <br/>Exception in thread "Thread-0" java.lang.IllegalStateException: Component must have a valid peer <br/> at java.awt.Component$FlipBufferStrategy.flip(Unknown Source) <br/> at java.awt.Component$FlipBufferStrategy.show(Unknown Source) <br/> at net.faijdherbe.zedsurvivor.Engine.doGameLoop(Engine.java:108) <br/> at net.faijdherbe.zedsurvivor.ZedLauncher.run(ZedLauncher.java:66) <br/> <br/>What this means is that you can't get the buffer strategy for a component until it is visible. I'm guessing your game loop starts running before your frame, or the contained components (a panel?) are displayed. To fix it, run the rendering for your game after setVisible(true); <br/> <br/>Regards, a fellow Java developer. :)
