I enjoyed this one. I was always in a rush to get more items out to the floor. Almost sold out on the first day! Making 62$.
The baskets were the biggest challenge. I feel like they were always in the way no matter where i put them.
One thing I would change is to make the people / baskets a little more movable. I did get stuck in the freezer when the door got block by people trying to check out XD.
Great game, would love to see a version where you can use the funds to purchase more floor space or freezer space or registers.
@doubley hi, thanks for playing the game! (even before I wrote any sort of tutorials for it heh...)
I agree with the baskets. I did not really know what to do about them in Godot, and did not have the time to try to implement a pushing system. But I think it ties nicely into the theme - Limited Space, heh? But they can get really annoying. And with the upgrades, yep that was the plan, but I ran out of time. Maybe I'll continue working on the game in the future and implement that, not yet sure.

The graphics are adorable and the little beep when you scan groceries is absolutely satisfying. 😊 The controls and simple UI both feel really good. First I got really angry with the customers when they would get stuck in front of a basket, but over time I got more caring and moved them away for them, mumbling to myself "there you go". 😉 I played until day 4, it was quite addicting, and I think I would have kept playing if there would have been some kind of challenge (e.g. you have to pay rent at the end of the week) and if I would have had some more options (e.g. order groceries for the next day, listening closely to what the customers want over the day). Also I appreciate the Linux build. Well done! 💜
@noya great to hear that the Linux build works! YAY :rocket:
And also great idea with the rent due each week... I only thought about ordering products for the next day, but the rent is a really good idea as an additional motivation to sell more each day.
