yeah, unless it's for a very simple game, making an engine is a bit overkill I think (I would do that only on longer jams)

Not sure why this isn't showing up here, the ldjam website is acting weird sometimes. I mean, I almost had it finished, almost. But now I can reuse the existing engine for the next jam, so there's that.
