Glad you decided to participate. I like the animations of the main character and the way he moonwalks =D.
Improvements: - Define a clear goal for the game. As soon as you slay all the enemies, show a message that the game is over.

Try to fix collisions in your next game. When you walk against a wall the player look really stupid...
Good try for your first Ludum Dare. I'm surprised how well my first entry went :)
No losing screen or anything, but fits the theme I suppose.
