I need to make a port to windows desktop, as for installing the package, you need visual studio and a windows 8 developper certificate ... quite annoying :/
sorry - dont have metro!
Played.
Is there a way to port it to Win 7 ?
Windows 7 please. Also, why are you distributing this way?
Because I started dev on win8 & monogame and there was only templates for win8 app :/
Then I was lacking time to port to a classic "desktop" game... will try now if I can do this quick !
(And quite frankly, it's really bad, that's why I'm not putting much effort to convert it :P)
Done! I nailed a windows desktop version ... But be warned, it's not really playable, more of a concept :)
The windows 7 version seems to have only one level. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. The ghost and seeing the previous input made it less of a guessing game, but actually possible to plan and adjust your play. That's something I have been missing from a lot of other similar games where you plan something ahead and then watch it unfold afterwards. (Also bonus points for gamepad compatibility.)
And does the port miss audio or isn't there any altogether?
I really loved the concept, but the execution was a little unclear and confusing. Keep up the good work! I notice you say this is your first one but I'd really love to see you make games after you get some experience :))) I loved the stylized art :)
@zconnelly13 : The art isn't mine, credit goes to www.kenney.nl , and that's part of why it's a Jam entry and not a Compo entry ... id didn't read the rules well... sad because I worked really short time on it to make it under 48hrs (and was doing other stuff during the week end). Got experience in game programming but only on internal 3D engines stuff :D I got to improve my "whole 2D games" skills!
@klianc09 : No audio because I have 0 knowledge of audio, I should get into that before next Jam.
Unfortunatelly, I guess I didn't finnished to code the change level methods ... you can manually change it, or make your own, by changing the *.txt in content directory (i guess level3.txt is loaded).
I'm not really sure how to play this game :/
